Bajaj Auto has launched the New Bajaj Pulsar 150 to Indian market with price starting at Rs. 1.15 lakh for the base SD variant. The top spec TD trim with a split seat costs Rs. 1.23 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It is available in SD and TD variants and gets one of the biggest updates the Pulsar 150 has got in recently.

New Bajaj Pulsar 150

The new Pulsar 150 continues with a 149.5cc 4stroke, oil cooled, single cylinder DTS-i twin spark engine with fuel injection. It produces 14 PS and comes with a 5 speed gearbox. The motorcycle now gets three riding modes along with a clip on handlebar and belly pan.

New Bajaj Pulsar 150 gets 5-inch TFT display, Google Maps navigation, all-LED lighting, hazard lights, a USB Type-C port and a gas-charged monoshock. The TFT unit can store documents such as the RC and insurance details. Call and message alerts and music controls are also available.

Like the new Pulsar 125 the Pulsar 150 also gets Crawl Tech for controlled low speed movement without throttle input.

Bajaj says the New Bajaj Pulsar 150 has a power to-weight ratio of 100 compared to 93 in the previous generation. The company believes this gives the Pulsar 150 a sportier character while keeping its familiar performance.

The chassis has also been redesigned. The new motorcycle uses a diamond type frame instead of the earlier double cradle setup. The engine now works as a structural member rather than simply being mounted to the frame. As per company this helps improve stability and riding dynamics especially at higher speeds.

VariantPrice
SDRs. 1,15,233
TD – Single SeatRs. 1,22,184
TD – Split SeatRs. 1,23,187

Ride Modes and Design

The New Bajaj Pulsar 150 gets three riding modes called Road, Rain and Sport. Bajaj claims this is a first for the 150cc segment. The modes allow riders to adjust the motorcycle’s response based on road and riding conditions.

The design has also received a major update. Up front the motorcycle gets a sharper headlamp with a slimmer visor and brighter pilot lamps. The fuel tank has been reshaped while the narrower mid section should offer better knee contact and control.

At the rear the new crystal style tail lamps give the bike a fresh look. Other additions include a clip on handlebar, LED indicators, belly pan, USB Type-C port and the new TFT display with Google Maps navigation.
