Honda Activa 110 DLX: Honda Activa is one of India’s best selling and most popular scooters for everyday practicality. Honda Activa 110 comes with three variants: Standard, DLX and Smart. The Honda Activa 110 variant is priced at Rs 86,360 (ex-showroom) which is around Rs 10,000 more than the base version. In the latest Honda Activa 110 DLX buyers get a few useful upgrades.

Honda Activa 110 DLX: Design & Styling

There are no major changes to the Honda Activa 110 DLX overall design. At first glance the DLX looks much like the Standard version. The biggest upgrade are the LED headlamp and alloy wheels.

The LED unit gives the scooter a more modern appearance while the alloy wheels add a slightly sportier touch compared to the pressed steel wheels on the Standard variant.

Honda Activa 110 DLX: Features

The Honda Activa 110 DLX replaces the basic analogue instrument cluster with a 4.2 inch TFT display. It shows useful information such as the tachometer, real-time and average mileage, distance-to-empty, clock, Eco indicator, speed and fuel level.

Bluetooth connectivity and Honda RoadSync are not available here. Those features are exclusive for the H-Smart variant and include functions such as navigation and call alerts.

USB Type C charging is also standard on the Honda Activa 110 DLX. The rest of the practical equipment remains unchanged.

Honda Activa 110 DLX: Safety & Hardware

There are no major hardware changes between the Activa 110 variants. The DLX continues with the same braking and chassis setup as the rest of the range.

It also gets Honda’s idling stop start system which switches off the engine when the scooter is stationary to help save fuel. The system can be turned off when required. A silent ACG starter and combined braking system are also part of the package.

Honda Activa 110 DLX: Engine & Performance

Power comes from the same 109.51cc engine used across the Activa 110 range. It produces 7.9PS and 9.05Nm and is paired with a CVT automatic transmission.

The engine is tuned more for smooth and easy commuting than outright performance. It suits everyday city riding and keeps the riding experience smooth.

Verdict

The Honda Activa 110 DLX adds some useful equipment but the roughly Rs 10,000 premium over the Standard variant is difficult to justify. The top spec Smart costs only around Rs 4,700 more and offers additional features.

The Standard variant is more suitable for buyer on tight budget. A smartphone holder can be added separately if navigation is required. If you are willing to spend a little more the Smart variant offers a more complete package.
