BYD India is capturing the Indian EV and automotive market rapidly, with its new BYD Sealion 7 Dynamic launch the company aims to target the premium electric SUV market with an introductory price of Rs. 41.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned below the Premium and Performance models the new launch comes with a 71.8 kWh Blade Battery and a claimed NEDC range of 520 km on a single charge.
The BYD Sealion 7 Dynamic can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 7.3 seconds. It also brings down the entry price for the Sealion 7 range. The model has already crossed 4,000 units in India since its launch in 2025. With the new variant the lineup now includes Dynamic, Premium and Performance variants. While the Battery range starts with 71.8 kWh and 82.56 kWh across the model.

The BYD Sealion 7 Dynamic gets 4 different exterior colours: Atlantis Grey, Cosmos Black, Aurora White and Shark Grey. The variant uses the 71.8 kWh Blade Battery and is based on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0. It also retains the company’s Cell-to-Body construction and torque adaptation control.
The BYD Sealion 7 Dynamic cabin continues with several familiar features from its preceders. These include a panoramic glass roof and rotating touchscreen infotainment system. The SUV also gets a wide range of safety and driver assistance features. Its exterior follows BYD’s signature design theme. The new variant has also been launched as part of BYD India’s ‘Celebrate Your Dreams with BYD’ festive campaign which began on August 1, 2026.
The good news is- BYD Sealion 7 Dynamic buyers will receive a complimentary 7kW home charger along with installation. The package also includes a 10-year RSA coverage extension. BYD is also offering an extended warranty for the LFP low-voltage battery covering 10 years or 1.5 lakh km whichever comes first.

The Sealion 7 has picked up several industry awards since arriving in India. It has also secured a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating.

With the BYD Sealion 7 Dynamic variant BYD now offers a more accessible entry point into the Sealion 7 range. It gets the 71.8 kWh Blade Battery with a claimed 520 km NEDC range while retaining most of the SUV’s key features and technology. At Rs. 41.90 lakh (ex-showroom) it is Rs. 8 lakh cheaper than the mid spec Premium variant with the larger battery.
