New Audi Q3 2026 is expected to go on sale this festive season in India with slight enhancements inside and out compared to the outgoing model

Audi has released the first teaser of the new generation New Audi Q3 2026 all but confirming that its compact luxury SUV will arrive in India later this year. The festive season is currently the likely launch window, with Audi bringing an entirely redesigned model featuring a sharper exterior, equipped with a powerful design and high-tech features and some more technology upgrades.

The India centric version is expected to retain the existing 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, producing around 204 hp and 320 Nm. Power will be sent to all four wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and Audi’s Quattro all wheel drive system. Visually, the Ingolstadt-based manufacturer has given the new SUV a much more distinctive look.

DESIGN

The most awaited Q3 kicks off its third-generation with upgrades in tech and luxury and the front gets a larger Single frame grille flanked by sharper headlamps, while the bonnet and shoulder sections feature more pronounced contours. At the rear the car gains a full-width lighting element, digital OLED tail lamps and illuminated Audi rings on higher-end versions. The Matrix LED headlamps also feature micro-LED modules, with each daytime running light using 23 individual segments.

INTERIOR

The new Audi Q3 has moved the gear selector from the centre console to a steering column-mounted lever, freeing up space between the front seats for additional storage. A second stalk takes care of the lighting and wiper functions, while the dashboard adopts a layout closer to Audi’s latest global models. The equipment list also includes acoustic front glass to help reduce outside noise, along with a new digital interface.

Space utilization has also been improved, this looks more spacious and conformable even for 6 fit person. The new Q3 offers 488 litres of luggage space in its standard configuration, which increases to 1,386 litres with the rear seats folded. The second row can slide forwards or backwards, while adjustable backrests are offered as standard. Audi has also increased the SUV’s towing capacity to as much as 2100 kg, depending on the configuration.

The international range introduces a plug-in hybrid for the first time. It uses a 25.7 kWh battery, offering up to 119 km of WLTP-rated electric range, while DC charging at up to 50 kW is supported. Other global versions are available with four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, including a 148 hp TFSI entry-level unit. Mild-hybrid technology is also available.

Audi has revised the suspension setup as well, with standard, sport and two-valve damper configurations on offer. An interior camera can monitor the driver for signs of fatigue or distraction, while the adaptive cruise control and lane assistance systems gain upgraded functions. The parking system can store complex parking manoeuvres and repeat them later, while reverse assist can retrace the SUV’s recent path when making tight exits.
